Mary Ann and Mike McNally were born in Nebraska, raised their children in Texas, and became Oregonians in the fall of 2007.
Their three children are spread geographically between St. Louis, MO, San Diego, CA, and Portland, OR.
When asked what motivated them to develop a sustainable vineyard in Oregon’s wine country, their response is wholehearted appreciation for the rewards and challenges as growers of quality grapes in the Willamette Valley.
They acknowledge the incredible support and camaraderie of the local and regional wine industry.
“We learn so much from our industry colleagues and value the friendships cultivated in this diverse community.”
When contemplating a life among the hills of their Yamhill-Carlton AVA, they admit the quality of the wines convinced them to become part of the growing community.
Oregon’s Pinot noir and Chardonnay are extraordinary.
The McNallys count themselves as extremely fortunate to share the fermented fruits of our labors with family and friends near and far.

Meara Butler, General Manager

Meara Butler has a head for data, a heart for textile arts, and the stamina for Irish dance.
Meara holds a master’s degree in Geography and has ten years of experience in Geographic Information Science (GIS) with firms in the Portland area.
Meara McNally Butler joined Fairsing in 2021 and serves as General Manager.
Meara manages vineyard and business operations, fruit sales, contract administration, and the growth of three-tier distribution and direct-to-consumer sales channels.
With Fairsing’s focus on sustainability, Meara explores adjustments to wine packaging and assists with socially responsible initiatives benefitting vineyard stewards and the greater community.
A textile artisan and an avid weaver, Meara serves on the Board of Directors of the North American Linen Association.
In addition to beekeeping duties with Mary Ann McNally in Fairsing’s apiary, Meara is an accomplished Irish Dancer.
Meara and husband, Gus, are parents of two children who keep them on their toes.
Robert Brittan, Winemaker

A veteran of the wine industry since the early 1970s, Robert Brittan began his career in the Central Valley of California.
Robert attended the University of California at Davis, graduating with a degree in Fermentation Science in 1981.
Robert made wines for Far Niente Winery, St. Andrews Vineyard and Stags’ Leap Winery. In addition to managing his own vineyard and crafting wines for Brittan Vineyards, Robert is the consulting winemaker for select vineyards in the Northern Willamette Valley.
A firm believer that wines are much more compelling as they age, Robert is committed to a minimalist winemaking style and partners with exceptional vineyard sites to craft wines that cellar beautifully.
Since 2012, Robert and his team have been crafting wines for Fairsing Vineyard that are expressive and distinctive to the estate.
Robert’s enthusiasm for Fairsing’s varied exposures, geology, microclimates, and selections is reflected in each of Fairsing Vineyard’s wines.

Fáinne, ring or full circle in Irish, honors the intertwining farming and merchant heritage of previous generations and the Fairsing Vineyard owners.
Each vintage is meticulously crafted in the cellar from select barrels encompassing the finest fruit from across the estate.
This dense and enveloping Pinot Noir bears the footprint of the vineyard and the light touch of Mother Nature.
SULLIVAN PINOT NOIR
Named for Winifred Sullivan, a vibrant and exuberant Irish redhead who was something of a vintner herself. This balanced wine showcases bright red fruit flavors and gorgeous texture.
DARDIS PINOT NOIR
This elegant wine, named for Hannah Dardis – a pioneering Irish woman who earned her college degree in the 1920s in rural South Dakota, reflects her refined sense of style.
With each vintage, plummy and dark fruit flavors marry with impeccable tannins and elongate to a finish hinting of spice and white pepper.
KENNEY PINOT NOIR
This compilation is named for Mike McNally’s mother Claire Kenney McNally – a caring and vivacious Irish lass with bright blue eyes.
A harmonious Pinot noir with dark fruit notes and lengthy finish, this wine honors Claire’s wit, equanimity, culinary prowess, and love of family gatherings.
MCCARTHY CHARDONNAY
Our McCarthy Chardonnay is crafted from vines planted along Fairsing’s highest crest at the crown of the vineyard.
This cellar-crafted compilation bears the name of Mary Ann McNally’s mother Lucy McCarthy Spielman – a quick wit and voracious reader renowned for her love of poetry and gardening.
ROSÉ OF PINOT NOIR
Intentionally crafted from Pommard and Dijon 777 clonal selections, this crisp and food-friendly wine delights with silky texture and lilt across the palate.
Warm summer scents waft from the glass, as garden-ripened red fruit flavors harmonize with a lovely tannic framework. Easily our summer favorite.
