Link to detail of label art, origin, and relevance

The Fairsing Vineyard Tasting Room and Labyrinth At Sunrise in Oregon's Yamhill-Carlton AVA of the Willamette Valley.

Fairsing Vineyard Estate Wines

Nestled high in the hills of Oregon’s Yamhill-Carlton AVA, Fairsing Vineyard is bound by the Cascade and Coast Mountains and rooted in ancient marine sedimentary soils.

Fairsing Vineyard wines continually express a true sense of place.

Each vintage embodies the estate’s confluence of varied topography, diverse microclimates, and unique maturation profiles.

The 2012 Fairsing Vineyard Pinot noir is the inaugural vintage of this estate Pinot noir reflecting the complexity of the estate with blooming crimson clover on the label. Crimson clover blooms each spring in Oregon's Willamette Valley heralding the arrival of another growing season while simultaneously feeding the soil with nutrients.

FAIRSING VINEYARD

PINOT NOIR

Crafted from the finest clonal selections from across the vineyard.

Each vintage of the Fairsing Vineyard Pinot noir continues to inspire us with hallmark depth, layered complexity, and seamless elegance.

ACCOLADES & NOTES

A blended and lively expression of the estate

Open, vibrant, and accessible with vitality and herbaceous notes.

This estate Pinot noir was crafted to enjoy in the near term, with mature flavors, light tannins, and finesse.

“After the first sniff of the wine in the glass, the earthiness fades away to reveal aromas of a loaf of fresh-baked sourdough and blackberry jam. Leathery tannins and brisk acidity blaze a path for a tart boysenberry, anise, and orange pekoe tea flavors. Fruit, alcohol, tannins, and acidity are in almost perfect harmony.” – M.A.

“Notes of dried cherries and red plums with hints of wet leaves, leather and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied with a dense, meaty structure and creamy tannins. Notes of darker berries and chocolate with velvety finish.” Drink now.

“This wine’s strawberry and raspberry flavors carry a slightly funky bouquet, but call it a feature, not a flaw. It has salted caramel notes from aging for nine months in 30% new French oak, and it’s creamy and focused on the palate, finishing on a hint of cola.” – Paul Gregutt, Contributing Editor

“This young wine balances ripe tangy fruit flavors of apple and peach against barrel flavors from aging in roughly one-quarter new French oak. The good components are in place, but a bit more bottle age should help to pull them together.” – Paul Gregutt, Contributing Editor

With each vintage, plummy and dark fruit flavors marry with impeccable tannins and elongate to a finish hinting of spice and white pepper.
