New for fall 2021

2017 FÁINNE

PINOT NOIR

Barrel Select

Fáinne, ring or full circle in Irish, honors the farming and merchant heritage of the Fairsing Vineyard owners.

Meticulously crafted from select barrels encompassing Fairsing’s finest fruit, this wine is a faceted expression of the estate.

TASTING NOTES

Rich garnet color with classic Fairsing tones of lavender, violet, and ocean spray.

Plummy dark fruit flavors marry with a cola verve on the palate.

Framed by refined tannins and a dense immersive texture, this wine reverberates on the back palate and elongates to an expressive finish.

Layered and concentrated, this bottling benefits from an intentional cooperage regimen with emphasis on toasted and spicier barrels.

Distinguished by its finesse and structure, this wine is bound for beautiful development in the cellar.

The 2017 Fairsing Vineyard Sullivan Pinot noir with blooming crimson clover on the label

2017 SULLIVAN

PINOT NOIR

Named for Winifred Sullivan, a Fairsing matriarch and Irish redhead, this balanced wine showcases bright red fruit flavors and gorgeous texture.

TASTING NOTES

Lingering ripe red fruit, juicy freshness with focused palate and generous finish.

“Limpid magenta. Intense aromas of dark berries, candied flowers, exotic spices and mocha are joined by vanilla and musky earth nuances that build as the wine opens up. Deeply concentrated but energetic as well, offering juicy black raspberry, cherry cola, candied rose and spicecake flavors that show fine definition and back-end lift. Finishes impressively long and smoky, with harmonious tannins and resonating floral and spice qualities.” – Josh Raynolds, August 2020

93 Rating – Vinous

“Attractive oak spice, some meaty nuances and plenty of deeply ripe red cherries on offer here. This has a smooth, raspberry and wild cherry-focused palate and zippy acidity to close it out. Drink now.” – July 2019

92 Points – JamesSuckling.com

“The 2017 Pinot Noir Sullivan has a medium ruby color and an inviting nose of rose petal, licorice, crushed cranberries, red cherry jam, tangerine peel and an undercurrent of fragrant earth. Light to medium-bodied, it’s delicate but concentrated with a firm, grainy frame and great freshness, finishing long and perfumed. Yum! 470 cases produced.” – Erin Brooks, April 2020

2017 DARDIS

PINOT NOIR

Named for Hannah Dardis – a pioneering Irish woman who earned her college degree in the 1920s, this wine reflects her refined style and strength.

TASTING NOTES

Savory earth and ripe red plum flavors with graceful intensity, and velvety tannins.

“The aromas of cassis and forest berries are strikingly fresh with spiced-wood and light, earthy notes, too. The palate is really structured and long, offering sturdy tannins and super pure fruit flavors, in the blueberry and boysenberry zone. Some spiced pastry to close. Drink or hold.” – January 2020

Fairsing Vineyard Kenney Pinot noir embodies subtle dark fruit flavors and velvety texture

2017 KENNEY

PINOT NOIR

This compilation is named for Mike McNally’s mother Claire Kenney McNally – a vivacious Irish lass with bright blue eyes.

Memorable and food-friendly, this wine honors Claire’s wit, equanimity, culinary prowess, and love of family gatherings.

TASTING NOTES

Lingering ripe red fruit, juicy freshness with focused palate and generous finish.

“Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Kenney has fresh scents of cranberries, red cherries and blueberries with perfumed accents of granite, violets, citrus peel and potpourri. Light to medium-bodied, it offers good fruit intensity, with a grainy frame and juicy freshness on the long, perfumed finish. 300 cases produced.” Erin Brooks, April 2020
 91 Rating – Wine Advocate

“The best of Fairsing’s 2017 Pinots, at least for the moment, this brings penetrating raspberry fruit, highlights of orange peel and acidity that convey an astringent minerality. Aging in one-quarter new French oak lengthens the finish, adding notes of ash, tobacco and sweet spice”.  October 2019

“Generous and plump, with fresh strawberry and cherry flavors that draw in hints of cinnamon and floral spice, gliding along a sleek finish. Drink now through 2026.” – February 2020
91 Points – Wine Spectator
“Brilliant ruby-red. Powerful aromas of red and dark berry preserves, baking spices and candied rose take on a vanilla nuance as the wine opens up. Fleshy and broad in the mouth but lively as well, offering sappy black raspberry and boysenberry flavors and a hint of cola. Finishes seamless and very long, with an echo of juicy blue fruit and harmonious tannins that add subtle grip. 18% new French oak.” – Josh Raynolds, August 2020

CHARDONNAY

Complexity, tension, and focus marks this barrel-fermented estate Chardonnay with orchard bloom scents,  supple fruit flavors, and balanced finish

TASTING NOTES

Ripe orchard fruits and flinty nuances mingle with smoothly juicy texture. Plush and focused with a charming twist on the finish.

“Some flinty nuances with dried flowers and a lightly bready nose that offers a sleek, fresh and smoothly juicy texture on the palate. Ripe and plush. Drink now.”
92 Points – JamesSuckling.com, July 2019

“The 2017 Fairsing Vineyard Chardonnay opens with a bouquet of Meyer lemon cream, butterscotch and lighter earthy tones. The palate expresses a good degree of tension with bright tree fruit flavors and a soft, generous texture. The long, cream and mineral-driven finish lingers. Enjoy this over the next decade. Drink 2019-2029.”
